The Trailer for 'Custody' is more intense than the film's teaser. Naga Chaitanya's Shiva (the film was proposed to be titled 'Shiva' by director Venkat Prabhu, who gave up the idea after the hero warned him of a backlash from the audience) is running out of time. He has to present a dreaded criminal before the court. And the criminal's physical safety is paramount to him.
The trailer begins with Shiva getting admonished for standing up to a political heavyweight. Through and through, the underdog is shown facing all odds in service of his cause. He abides by his principles and is known for integrity.
Krithi Shetty, for a change, plays a character that is relevant to the story. As a resolute woman named Revathi, she faces a crisis because of her boyfriend.
Arvind Swami, Priyamani, and Sarathkumar, in that order, receive importance.
Srinivasaa Chitturi of Srinivasaa Silver Screen is bankrolling this Telugu-Tamil bilingual. Sampath Raj, Premji Amaren, Vennela Kishore (as a clownish groom), and Premi Vishwanath will also be seen in the movie.
The film will head to the theatres on May 12.
