"The future war is cyber," the makers of 'KoKo' wrote, unveiling the first glimpse of their film. Touted to be an authentic sci-fi thriller the film is slated to hit the cinemas in April or May next year.
Produced by Sandeep Reddy Vasa, the film is written and helmed by Jai Kumar. Through the first glimpse, it is conveyed that Artificial Intelligence takes deadly and unexpected forms. Like in 'Brahmastra', the genre is mixed with Dharmic elements.
"We are planning to commence the shoot in June," the makers said, adding that 'KoKo' will be shot in Vietnam, Ladakh, China, Kerala, and Hyderabad. An element of the Indian defence system becoming the target of enemies is hinted. "Hackers, with the support of Pakistan and China, hatch an espionage attack on cyberspace," producer Vasa said, talking about the premise.
Written by Ravi Wuyyuru, the film has cinematography by Raghuram Kotipalli. Edited by Prabhu Deva, its Sound Effects are by Ethi Raj. Brahma Kadali (art direction), Manisha Mallikarjun (costumes), Mirai (VFX), and Karthik (fights) are doing the film.
Plans are afoot to make and release the movie in all major South Indian languages, Hindi, Vietnamese, and Taiwanese.
