The trailer for 'Mem Famous' shows three youngsters who are wannabe 'jathi ratnalu' of the village. This time, the term 'jathi ratnalu' is not to be taken lightly. For their quest for self-fulfillment appears earnest. Will they have a collar-raising 'mem famous' moment for real? Or, will it remain a pipedream?
Writer and director Sumanth Prabhas looks for humour in the everyday situations faced by the three male protagonists, who are all-weather friends. The song 'Dosthulam', released earlier this week, finds a thematic presence in the trailer. The girlfriends of the friends make their presence felt in light-veined situations.
Sumanth Prabhas (also the film's director), Mani Aegurla, and Mourya Chowdary are confident that the film will be a blast in theatres. Also featuring Saarya and Siri Raasi, the entertainer is produced by Anurag Reddy, Sharath, and Chandru Manoharan. Shyam Dupati (cinematographer), Srujana Adusumilli (editor), and Arvind Muli (art) are working on the movie.
Geeta Arts is releasing the film in the Telugu States, while Sarigama Cinemas is doing it overseas. In Vizag, Annapurna Studios is the distributor.
This May 26th release, produced by Chai Bisket and Lahari Films, will feature 35 newcomers.
