The Sankranthi 2024 box-office clash is going to be a major one even if Ravi Tea's 'Eagle' is postponed to January 26. Mahesh Babu's 'Guntur Kaaram' will open in theatres on January 12. Films starring Vijay Deverakonda ('Family Star'), Nagarjuna ('Naa Saami Ranga') and Venkatesh ('Saindhav') too are in the race for Sankranthi. Even the pan-India spectacle 'Hanu-Man' might be released for Sankranthi if it is not postponed.
Amidst this, there is a talk that top producers like S Naga Vamsi and Dil Raju will have discussions in the Active Producers Guild to minimize any potential damage to their films from the imminent BO clash.
On Tuesday, Naga Vamsi was asked about the discussions, if any. He and China Babu are producing 'Guntur Kaaram' on Haarika & Haasine Creations. Naga Vamsi made it clear that he has no reason to negotiate with other producers considering that his film is going to be the audience's first preference. "Others will have to talk with me. I don't have to," the producer of recent hits like 'MAD' said.
'Guntur Kaaram' is directed by Trivikram Srinivas.
