Hours after Tamil actor Mansoor Ali Khan publicly apologized to Trisha Krishnan for his recent 'rape' remarks on Friday, the actress put out an interesting social media post. She suggested that she had decided to forgive Khan. "To err is human, to forgive is divine," the 'Ponniyin Selvan' star wrote on Twitter. Going by her post, it seems Trisha won't pursue any legal action against Khan.
What is the controversy all about? In a recent interview, Khan happened to say that he had hoped for a rape scene with Trisha in 'Leo'. After a huge uproar, he defended himself by saying that cinema rape is not real rape. He refused to apologize to the actress. After the National Commission for Women got into the scene, he had a change of mind and apologized to Trisha after much dilly-dallying for a couple of days.
Khan's apology on Friday, as per many, was insincere. In his statement, Khan unseriously wrote that he would like to be there for Trisha's wedding in the future to bless her.
In recent days, Trisha has received support from Megastar Chiranjeevi and several others.
