Due to 'Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty', Naveen Polishetty missed out on a pan-India film. We are talking about 'Jigarthanda Double X', which is slated to be released in theatres for Diwali.
Director Karthik Subbaraj today revealed that SJ Suryah first declined the first because he didn't want to play a filmmaker. "Suryah sir liked the script but he didn't want to portray the role of a film director. After that, I approached Naveen Polishetty who was busy with some other project. That's when I tried my best to convince Suryah sir to do the role," the maker of films like 'Pizza' and 'Petta' today said.
Raghava Lawrence, most recently seen in 'Chandramukhi 2', will be seen as a gangster in 'Jigarthanda Double X'.
As for Polishetty, he is basking in the glory of a hat-trick success ('Agent Sai Srinivas Athreya', 'Jathi Ratnalu' and 'MSMP'). He is committed to doing three films next. "I will talk about them in the coming weeks/months when the time comes. All three banners are fixed. At least two of them are going to hit the cinemas in the next 12 months," the former stand-up comedian said in September.
