Actor R Madhavan was recently in the news when his directorial 'Rocketry: The Nambi Effect' was adjudged the Best Feature Film by the National Awards jury. The 'Sakhi' actor is now in the news over an important nomination.
The Modi government has given Madhavan a fillip. The I&B Minister Anurag Thakur today said that the multi-lingual actor has been nominated as President of FTII (Film and Television Institute of India, Pune) and Chairman of the governing council of the renowned institute. "I am sure that your vast experience and strong ethics will enrich this institute, bring positive changes, and take it to a higher level. My best wishes to you," the Minister said, tagging Maddy on Twitter.
In his reply, the actor thanked the Minister. "Thank you so very much for the honor and kind wishes. I will do my very best to live up to all the expectations," he wrote.
