'Changure Bangaru Raja' was released this Friday (September 15) in theatres. The film's release was pushed forward after 'Skanda' and 'Chandramukhi 2' were postponed from Sept 15 to Sept 28. Producer Ravi Teja hoped that the lack of major competitors at the box office would result in sharp collections for 'CBR'. But his hopes have been dashed.
However, the film has failed to mint even decent money. As a producer, the Mass Maharaja encountered a major setback after experiencing a flop with 'Ravanasura' in his acting career earlier this year.
'Changure Bangaru Raja', starring Karthik Ratnam, Ravi Babu and Satya, was billed as a quirky comedy entertainer with idiosyncratic characters. But the outdated brand of humour has failed the film.
As per some trade reports, 'CBR' on Friday opened to a disastrous response. Many shows had to be cancelled for want of even ten tickets getting sold in multiplexes.
Ravi Teja should go back to the drawing room and rewrite his strategies as a producer.
