Nithya Menen has been quoted as saying by a section of the media on Tuesday that she was harassed by a Tamil hero. It was implied that the 'Janatha Garage' actress was sexually harassed by the unnamed hero while doing a Tamil film. Netizens started taking wild guesses.
Turns out that the news is fake. Nithya, a while ago, reacted to the fake news in strong terms. She shamed the media outlet that cooked up the rumour.
"We are all here for such a short period of time. It always surprises me how much wrong we do to each other. I point this out today because only accountability stops bad behaviour," Nithya wrote on Instagram.
The versatile actress will be seen in this week's OTT release 'Kumari Srimathi'. To be streamed on Amazon Prime Video from September 28, it is a comedy-drama.
