Jr NTR-Koratala Siva's big-budget flick 'Devara' is hitting screens on September 27 this year. It will have some competition in Tamil Nadu from a major Tamil release.
Karthi's Tamil action-drama 'Meiyazhagan' is also heading to theatres on the same date. Directed by C Prem Kumar, the movie boasts a star cast including Arvind Swamy. This could make things a bit tricky for 'Devara' in Tamil Nadu, especially since it's getting dubbed into Tamil and will be competing with a local biggie from the well-known 2D Entertainment banner.
Incidentally, 'Devara' was earlier supposed to clash with Suriya's 'Kanguva' on April 5. It is another matter that both films got postponed. And 'Devara' is now going to lock horns with a film starring Suriya's brother. A clash with Karthi's film would be better than one with an event spectacle like 'Kanguva', a big-scale action drama with a reincarnation element.
