Anchor Shyamala's reputation is in shambles. Before the AP Assembly elections, she was vocal in her criticism of both Chandrababu Naidu and Pawan Kalyan. In a YouTube interview, she went to the extent of describing Naidu as a cunning fox and Power Star as a minion who was being exploited by the former.
After the election result, Shyamala issued a statement saying that she never got personal in her criticism. The volte-face in the days of social media has ruined her reputation. Shyamala's image now lies in tatters even though she has claimed that she has been threatened by some individuals (for which she hasn't offered any evidence).
In public life, it is essential to maintain decorum and never cross the line, especially for celebs and mini-celebs whose services are used by politicians only if they have some influence on a section of the population. If they lose whatever minimal influence they have, they are done for. The likes of Ram Gopal Varma and Posani Krishna Murali didn't understand this and went overboard - they will not be taken seriously unless anti-incumbency takes root in AP.
