The other day, speaking at an event related to his upcoming film 'Line Man', actor Thrigun (previously known as Adith Arun) made a passing reference to the PR culture that is deep-rooted in the film industry. As someone who comes from no film background, the 'PSV Garuda Vega' actor knows how underprivileged he is in relation to star heroes from established film families.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that actors have to necessarily spend money on publicity. PR teams go about financing memers and fan pages, he said.
"Regardless of the film industry and language, if you don't have a strong background, if your father is not investing in your growth, if you can't spend money on publicity, if you can't get fan pages on social media work for you, if you can't pay the paparazzi who will click you at public places, if you can't sustain yourself by spending money, only talent matters," Thrigun said.
