Bollywood director Rohit Shetty is known for his illogical masala films. Popular for the 'Singham' series, 'Golmaal' series and 'Chennai Express', Shetty can be likened to the likes of Anil Ravipudi in terms of the primacy he gives to entertainment and Boyapati Sreenu in terms of the gravity-defying, exaggerated stunts he mounts.
The news is that Shetty is soon going to host a TV show titled 'Kahtron Ke Khiladi', the stunts-based adventure show. Its 14th season is coming up soon. As per the buzz in the TV industry, the filmmaker has been paid a whopping Rs 16 Cr for doing this season. He has hosted the show in the past as well.
If true, this makes Shetty one of the most popular filmmakers in India. Probably, only someone like SS Rajamouli might earn more if ever he were to do a TV show for a brief period. Even Prashanth Neel and Lokesh Kanagaraj might not be offered such a huge amount. With Sandeep Reddy Vanga, you never know!
