'Tillu Square', to be released in theatres on March 29, features Anupama Parameswaran in a bold role. Speaking at the song launch event of 'Oh My Lily' on Monday, the '18 Pages' actress suggested that she consciously chose the glamorous role.
"Rejecting a role of this sort in a commercial film would have been stupidity. Due to certain limitations, I played comfort roles for years. This film gave me the opportunity to go beyond regular characters," Anupama said.
When a scribe asked her if she would continue to play bold roles in the future as well, Anupama appeared a bit angry. "You don't biryani every day just because you love it. You try different dishes. In the same way, I too want to try biryanis, pulaos, etc," the 'Karthikeya 2' and 'Premam' actress said.
The film, produced by Sithara Entertainments, was given the title by Trivikram. Earlier, writer-actor Siddhu Jonnalagadda toyed with titles like 'Tillu 2', 'Tillu Is Back' and 'Tillu Returns'.
