Ranveer Singh, one of the most popular Hindi actors, was supposed to team up with 'HanuMan' maker Prasanth Varma. The film, to be made at a fast clip this year, has now been shelved. It was titled 'Rakshas'.

The Bollywood actor has walked out of the project. Apparently, he did so because he and Varma had developed creative differences. The makers now have to find a suitable replacement.

The news comes days after Mythri Movie Makers had announced the project. 'Rakshas' was supposed to be made on a budget of Rs 125 Cr in a tight manner. The budget was reworked in keeping with the reduced market potential of Bollywood movies. It is believed that Ranveer Singh had no problem with the remuneration that was on offer. He was fairly kicked about starting the shoot. It is suggested that the actor started having doubts about the project for reasons best known to him. His leaving the project is his loss, not Varma's.
