Actor Venu Thottempudi made a comeback to acting in recent times with Ravi Teja's 'Ramarao On Duty'. He is now in the news over a case involving his business entity, Progressive Constructions. News reports say that the case has been filed at the Banjara Hills Police Station.
Venu has been in the construction business for many years. He stayed away from films for many years.
The 'Swayamvaram' actor was seen last year in the Disney Plus Hotstar series 'Athidhi'. "As a family man with two kids, I have to play roles responsibly. I am not in a hurry even in my second innings as an actor. There is no rush. My strength has always been the family audience. I don't want to alienate them. Whether I offer sentiment or entertainment, I have to cater to them," he said in an interview last year. He is looking for performance-centric roles.
