Director Hanu Raghavapudi has made certain specific comments on Fauzi. In this section, we explore what they are about.

A sequel

He has confirmed that the period-based narrative will have a sequel. Much like Baahubali, Salaar and Kalki, the Fauzi duology is going to be a reality. The second part, whenever it happens, will go beyond the material offered by the first part in a substantive way.

Mythology-inspired layered character

In the first part, to be released in the second half of 2026, Prabhas' character will be layered and directly inspired by the narratives surrounding mythological characters like Arjuna, Ekalavya and Karna. The three characters were referred to by the recently released title poster as well. Hanu is exploring the counter-factual of what would have happened had Karna sided with the Pandavas. The director is situating the male lead in the British-India era of the 1940s. Scenes involving Subhas Chandra Bose will play out in the movie, if speculations have to be believed.

A smart love story

The kicker is that Fauzi will have an "unusual love story". In this regard, the female lead, Imanvi, is expected to feature in some of the most intriguing scenes. Will her character have two shades, one wonders.

Fauzi, produced by Mythri Movie Makers, has music by Vishal Chandrasekhar.
