Tamil director Bala is known for his unique conceptual films like ‘Sivaputrudu’, ‘Nenu Devunni’ and ‘Vaadu Veedu’. The filmmaker always chooses different conceptual films that revolve around different personalities. We are aware that Vikram earned a national award for his critically acclaimed performance in ‘Pitamagan’ (Sivaputrudu in Telugu). Similarly, ‘Naan Kadavul’ (Nenu Devunni in Telugu) won Bala a national award.
The filmmaker is now busy with his new film ‘Paradesi’ featuring Adharvaa, Dhansika, Vedika (Vijayadasami, Muni and Banam fame) and Uma Riyaz Khan in lead roles. The story of ‘Paradesi’ is set against the backdrop of pre-independence in 1930s.
Bala prepared the script based on the famous Malayalam novel ‘Eriyum Thanal’. G V Prakash Kumar will compose the music. Prasad V Potluri is producing the Telugu version of ‘Paradesi’. The film is currently in post-production works and is scheduled for release in October both in Tamil and Telugu.
