Shyamala Devi, who acted in a social film titled ‘Veerangam’ expressed her happiness for being part of the film. Shyamala Devi played the character jogini, which is her real life character. C L Srinivas Yadav produced this message oriented film under Sivani Arts banner for which Vamuganti was the director.
In the success meet held on Tuesday, Shyamala Devi said, “Veerangam movie is about women’s problems in the society. However, this movie can be watched by everybody as there are elements that attract all kinds of movie goers. The director crafted the film in such a manner that it will give a good message to the society. One lovely song has been picturised on me in this film. I’m very happy to do the role of jogini in the film. I thank my director and producer for giving me this wonderful opportunity. I’m overwhelmed with the phone calls I’m getting after this film’s response. I thank Babu Mohan, Suman and Ashish Vidyarthi also for their wonderful support.”
According to director Vemuganti, ‘Veerangam’ is getting very good response all over. Shyamala Devi’s performance is the main attraction of the film. “We released this film on Feb 10th and our distributors and exhibitors are quite satisfied with the results. Nandan Raj’s music is special attraction. There is more response from the women audience. Shayamala Devi’s character in this film is on par with ‘Osey Ramulamma’. She did an amazing job. I wish the film will reach more number of people and become a big hit.”
Producer Srinivas Yadav said, “I’m very happy to note the success for my very first film. The response is good in all the centres. The movie is specially attracting the women. I thank our exhibitors and distributors for their support.”
Music director Nandan Raj, actor Naveen and Nizam distributor Prasad also participated in the success meet.
