After a very long pre-production work, Maniratnam finally took his new love story on the sets. This bilingual film will be simultaneously made in Telugu and Tamil. Samantha is playing the female lead role while Lakshmi Manchu, Aravind Swamy and Arjun in other key roles. The film will have music by AR Rahman and the cinematography will be handled by Rajeev Menon. The film is presently being shot in a coastal village Manapad near Tuticorin. Maniratnam is going to portray his new love story on village backdrop based on the lives of fishermen.
