The Telugu film industry has been facing piracy problems for the quite many years. Since the industry people think that the Telugu film industry is incurring some hundreds of crores due to the piracy, they have decided to eradicate piracy at any cost. In this line they have gone a step ahead and associated with M P A A (Motion Picture Association of America) to fight against piracy. A press meet was organised on Friday in Hyderabad to brief about this anti-piracy act.
Executive Vice-President, Content Protection and Chief of Operations of MPAA Michael D. Robinson said, “Our team has been working on anti-piracy for quite long and is gaining good results. It’s not an easy task to control piracy. We should develop public awareness of the seriousness of piracy and how much loss the film industry is incurring due to that should be clearly explained to them. We will find out the source of piracy and block them soon. The government also should help us regarding this anti-piracy measures. The governments of Tamil Nadu and Karnataka are taking serious actions against those who are into piracy act. We expect the same to be implemented by the government of Andhra Pradesh also.”
