Aishwarya Rai Bachchan welcomed their first child on November 16th, 2011, and since then she was tagged as ‘Beti B’ in the media.
After nearly six months of suggestions, speculations and media frenzy, Big B finally revealed the name of his granddaughter over Twitter as ‘Aaradhya’. Amitabh confirmed the name when one of his fans, Haseena Wazeer, asked him over the micro blogging site: “Sir...want to see your lovely grand daughter...would really appreciate your reply with her name. Would love to know that. Thankyou.” The superstar promptly replied: “Her name is Aaradhya ..”.
Nevertheless the news of Aishwarya’s daughter’s name being ‘Aaradhya’ had already leaked to the media earlier this year when an application was submitted in Mumbai to fast track the child’s passport for her Dubai visit.
