Gunasekhar’s dream project ‘Rudramadevi’ starring Anushka and Rana in lead roles went on the set on April 27 morning. It’s said to be India’s first historical stereoscopic 3D film and is being made on Guna Team Works Banner.
Taking about the film filmmaker Gunasekhar said, “We have started shooting in the lavish sets costing few crores of rupees, designed by Padmasri Thota Tarani. Anushka as ‘Rudramadevi’, Raana as ‘Chalakya, Krishnam Raju as Ganapatideva, Prakash Raj as Sivadevayya, Suman as Lord Harihara, Aditya Menen as Lord Morari, Baba Sehgal as Lord Nagadeva, Natalia Kaur as Anambica, Zaraasha (Life is Beautiful fame) as Mummadamma, Hamsa Nandini as Madanika, Jayaprakash Reddy as Lord Ambadeva, Aditi Chengappa as Ganapamba, Ahuti Prasad as Kotareddy, Venu Madhav as Tittibi, Ajay as Prasadaditya will play in this film. Along with them Tanikella Bharani, L B Sriram and Krishna Bhagawan will also be seen in other supporting roles. Graphics work is already progressing. We have commenced the shooting today. With my aim to make this film as the most memorable film in the history of Indian Cinema, I’m ensuring that the film be made on par with international standards.”
Executive producer K Ram Gopal said, “We are going to making ‘Rudramadevi’ with huge budget portraying the Kakatiya heritage which would enlighten the pride of our Telugu community. The shooting will take place in 5 schedules starting from today and end in December.”
