Nagarjuna and Richa Gangopadhyay starer ‘Bhai’, directed by Veerabhadram on Annapurna Studios banner was released worldwide on October 25th. On this occasion a success meet was organised by director Veerabhadram.
He said, “I watched the film along with audience on Friday and Saturday in Sri Ramulu, Devi, Gokul and Satyam theaters and found them enjoying the film thoroughly. There is a super hit talk all over. We are very happy to note the highest openings. The two day share in AP was Rs 7.80 crs whil it is Rs 2.10 crs in Chennai, Karnataka and overseas. It’s nearly Rs 10 cr in two days. The film is running with houseful collections on Sunday too. I consider myself lucky to do this film on a big banner like Annapurna Studios.”
Speaking further he said, “My previous two films had more of entertainment elemets. So the audience expected the same in this film also. Nagarjuna garu did about 90 films, so I wanted to show him in a new look and carved the film according to his body language. The film got connected well with the family and women audiences. There is tremendous response for MS and Brahmanandam comedy scenes, songs and punch dialogues. As my guru EVV Satyanarayana garu said, I proved cent percentage in making the audience sit in theaters for 2 ½ hours. We have cut few scenes. Media is the main reason for me coming to this level who earlier made films with two comedy heroes. I never degrade the media. We have removed the scenes that had let down the media.”
