Krishnudu - on a Campaign to get married

G. Venkateswara Rao is a good natured, humble, and down to earth individual. He works as a manger in an IT company called Pressmart and draws a handsome salary every month. He has everything in life…. a two bed room flat in Jubli hills, a sedan car, numerous credit cards , life insurance, health insurance, etc. He even has an “Adhar card”, which seems like the most hard-to-get card these days. The only problem is that he has no wife! Well, that wouldn’t have been a problem if he was young and still has some years left to find the right bride. But, he is not. He is 29 years old and is about to hit 30 in a few months and that’s the rush for his ongoing campaign to get married ASAP. He is fixated in his mind that if he hits 30, he will never get married ever and that he has to die a virgin.

It’s not like he is not trying. His Ad for prospective bride is in every Telugu, Hindi and English newspaper for the past 5 years. He is also very diligent in following up with prospective groom Ad’s as well. His parents are constantly sending marriage brokers to find the right alliance. But lady luck hasn’t struck him for obvious reasons. His mom constantly pesters him to go work out and lose weight. But, losing weight seems tougher than finding a bride. His Ad description for a bride keeps evolving with the passing time.

“Looking for a traditional girl from a conservative background with zero size”

With the passing time and getting closer to his 30th Birthday, his Ad description changes to,

“Cast no bar, size no bar, girl wanted and ready to marry immediately”

His anxiety hits the roof and he starts getting nightmares. Will he ever find a bride? Will he tie the knot before he hits 30? What would he do, if he doesn’t, form’s the rest of the story.

Krishnudu the actor…

Though the movie Vinayakudu dealt with the physical aspect of Krishnudu, it carried the emotional baggage of an obese individual which gave scope for Krishnudu to showcase his acting abilities. His character in Chandamama Kathalu deals with the frustrations of an upright individual who is time bound on a mission to get married. In my opinion, When Krishnudu stops acting, he is a better actor. By behaving as G. Venkateswara Rao he fit right in to the character for Chandamama Kathalu. The comic timing is more on the situation and none on the pointless spastic expressions usually used to generate forced laughs. You will fall in love with Krishnudu, you will root for him to find a bride, and you will feel for him when he doesn’t. Definitely expect a healthy performance from Krishnudu in Chandamama Kathalu.

Shooting of the film is complete and the project is well in to the post production phase. Trailer is set to release on the 31st of Jan in theaters along with "Heart Attack" and "Pandavulu Pandavulu Thummeda".
