Speaking at the press meet, Ram Mohan revealed, “I believe in destiny. Actually, I was in another business before entering into the film industry. At that time I don’t have much knowledge on films. I became a filmmaker with the encouragement of Suresh Babu. Suresh Babu taught me the skills of filmmaking. Dr Ramanaidu guided me on how to pick up a story which appeals to all sects of audience. When I decided to enter into filmmaking, I approached Indraganti Mohan Krishna in Suresh Productions in 2002. After discussing with him, we bought the novel ‘Golkonda High School’. After that Virinchi Varma brought ‘Uyyala Jampala’ script. Sayesh, the student of Ramanaidu Film School, sold ‘Thanu Nenu’ script and went to America as he got another job opportunity. So that I directed this ‘Thanu Nenu’.”
“When I decided to direct this film, everyone has supported me. Especially, Rana encouraged me a lot. My well-wishers and technicians also encouraged me,” he revealed.
“I’ve 20 years’ experience of working in studio. That is why my job as director became easy for me. My experience in production department helped me a lot. I’ve knowledge on all departments. ‘Thanu Nenu’ is a team work. We worked together as a family. Now, I got much satisfaction that I made a good film. I was under tension to direct the actor Ravi Babu. He himself is a director. But, he too guided me I was under tension to direct the actor Ravi Babu, because he himself is a director. But, he too guided me,” he said.
Briefing about the film details, he said, “’Thanu Nenu’ story will be very distinct like Nani's ‘Bhale Bhale Magadivoy’. The father attempts to send his daughter to America, while she doesn’t like to go. The film showcases a heart touching conflict between a doting father and his daughter-is the story. The audiences will relate to the story and the characterisation of Avika. The film offers romance, humour and emotional drama. Debutant Santosh Sobhan did wonderful job. We did rehearsals with the lead actors for about two months and those sessions made things easy and helped me to wrap up the film in 33 days."
Apart from awaiting the release of ‘Thanu Nenu’, Ram Mohan is gearing up to produce a new film ‘Pitta Goda’. Debutant Anudeep will wield the megaphone for this film. Punarnavi and Viswadev Rachakonda are playing the lead roles. The film will start the shooting in a couple of days in Hyderabad. He said, “Suresh Productions is like my home banner. My relationship with this will continue forever.”
