Ram Mohan P, who won the credit as a successful producer and has shown that he got good taste too with the films like ‘Ashta Chamma’, ‘Golkonda High School’ and ‘Uyyala Jampala’, has now turned into director. He is making a love and family entertainer ‘Thanu Nenu’ under his own direction on Sunshine Cinema and Viacom 18 Pictures banners with D Suresh Babu as presenter. Avika Gor is the heroine and ‘Varsham’ director Shobhan’s son Santhosh Shobhan is hero. After completing all formalities including censor, the film will be released on November 27. On this occasion, the film unit has arranged press meet on Monday, i.e. on November 17.
Speaking at the press meet, D Suresh Babu said, “Only few people are ruling the film industry. It is true that only scions of the notable actors are entering into the film industry. Any talented artists and technicians can enter into the film industry. Nani and Raj Tarun were introduced as heroes with ‘Ashta Chamma’ and ‘Uyyala Jampala’ respectively. Now, Santhosh Shobhan is being introduced as hero through ‘Thanu Nenu’. Ram Mohan, who produced ‘Ashta Chamma’, ‘Golkonda High School’ and ‘Uyyala Jampala’, is directing this film. We have decided to release this film on November 27. Viacom 18 Pictures banner is distributing the film all over the world, while Suresh Productions banner is distributing in Telugu. ‘Thanu Nenu’ is a good clean youth and family entertainer. By trusting the script and the team, I came forward to distribute the film. Even though few big films are releasing on the same day, we are planning to release this film on November 27 on 125 screens.”
Director P Ram Mohan said, “Suresh Babu and I are good friends. I entered into the cine field with his suggestion. A student who studied in Ramanaidu Film School, approached me to buy this script. After studying the script, I asked him that why you don’t direct this film. I don’t know the answer, but since then the script is with me. I turned into director with that script. It’s an urban romantic love story. Santhosh Shobhan, who is travelling with me since ‘Golkonda High School’, is being introduced as hero. Avika Gor has given wonderful performance. We are bringing ‘Thanu Nenu’ to the audience on November 27.”
On this occasion, Nani said, “I was introduced as hero through ‘Ashta Chemma’ 7 years ago. I came to know that producer Ram Mohan is making his debut as director. He asked me to watch the film once. I was involved into the film. Santhosh Shobhan has given wonderful performance. His dialogue delivery is also excellent. He has given 100 times better performance than my performance in ‘Ashta Chamma’. Half of the success credit will goes to Santhosh. It’s a good entertainer.”
Addressing the gathering, Raj Tarun said, “When I was working as an assistant director, Ram Mohan garu asked me to direct ‘Thanu Nenu’ script. But, today he made me hero and he turned into director. Avika Gor has acted brilliantly. I’m sure the film will become super hit. Cinematography is wonderful. I wish that Ram Mohan garu will earn good name as director through this film. I would like to act at least in a guest role under his direction.”
Santhosh Shobhan said, “My longtime dream to become an actor was fulfilled by Suresh Babu garu and Ram Mohan garu. Just saying thanks is not enough. Forever I will remain indebted to them.”
Viacom 18 Motion Pictures chief operating officer Ajith Andhare said, “We are producing ‘Thanu Nenu’ in association with Sunshine Cinema with D Suresh Babu as presenter. We are releasing the film in international level. I consider myself lucky to be part in the production department with Suresh Babu and Ram Mohan. ‘Thanu Nenu’ is a good comedy entertainer. Everyone will like the film for sure.”
