Dynamic producer D Venkatesh, who recently brought Ram Gopal Varma’s ‘365 Days’, is bringing a Malayalam psychological thriller titled ‘The Eyes’ starring Meera Jasmine as the lead under DV Creations banner to the Telugu audience. It was directed by Shajiyem. Meanwhile, the film is on September 25.
On the eve of film’s release, producer D Venkatesh said, “Malayalam lass Meera Jasmine, who is well known to the Telugu audience with the films ‘Pandem Kodi’, ‘Gudumba Shankar’ and ‘Ammayi Bagundi’, has played the lead role in the film before her marriage. A lady gets vision after being blind. But she experiences violent visions from there on. The film which is coming as a psychological thriller, became big hit in Malayalam and has grossed good collections. I was very impressed by the film when I watched in Malayalam. I felt that Telugu people will definitely like the film and therefore I bought the Telugu rights and releasing the film with the title ‘The Eyes’. Re-recording composed by Kanishka, is different which suits the taste of Telugu people. The film has completed the censor formality and received clean ‘U’ certificate. Censor board members appreciated that while watching the film they got the feel as if they were watching ‘Final Destination’ series. That has boosted my confidence. We are bring the film to the audience on September 25. Shajiyem has crafted the film with different point and horror, suspense and thrilling elements. Meera Jasmine’s performance will stand out as highlight for the film. Telugu audience will like it for sure.”
Meera Jasmine, Badri, Sankar, Suraj, Nandu, Geetha Vijayan and Sunil Sukhada and some others have played major roles.
