King of comedy and Natakiriti Dr. Rajendra Prasad, who started second innings as an actor, is going ahead in the race to success with the films like ‘Jalayi’, ‘S/O Satyamurthy’, ‘Srimanthudu’, ‘Nannaku Prematho’ and ‘Supreme’. His main aim is to entertain audience. Big or small, Rajendra Prasad is choosing different characters in successful films. In his 40 years long cine career, he carved a brand image for himself by playing different roles as a comedian or as a hero and won appreciations right from common audience to prime minister. He won State Nandi Awards for the films like ‘Aa Naluguru’ and ‘Mee Sreyobhilashi’. He is contributing his service as MAA association president and doing his bit to the poor artists. He is gaining more popularity and craze by playing main roles in each and every film. His latest film is ‘Intlo Deyyam Nakem Bhayam’. BVSN Prasad, who brought super successful films like ‘Attarintiki Daredi’ and ‘Nannaku Prematho’, is producing this film on Sri Venkateswara Cine Chitra LLP banner with G Nageswara Reddy as director. Bhogapalli Bapineedu is the presenter. Allari Naresh is the lead role in this horror entertainer and it is releasing worldwide on December 30. On the eve of film’s release, the actor shared few words about the film.
The actor said, “I played a major role in ‘Intlo Deyyam Nakem Bhayam’ which has equal importance like hero. I played house owner in the film. The story of the film is about what problems the owner has to face when his house is haunted by a ghost. Entire film goes on in a comedy mode. I am sure the film will entertain audience in this situation where people are facing demonetisation problem. Nageswara Reddy garu has crafted the film wonderfully. After ‘Maa Alludu very Good’, I am once again working with Allari Naresh for this film. All my films which were done under EVV Satyanarayana’s director were big hits and earned good name to me. Naresh was a small kid when we are doing those film. He used to come to the sets. He has great passion on films. He became hero and carved a special track for himself. He is now a matured guy. All scenes which comes between Naresh and me, will entertain audience for sure. We frighten and at the same time we entertain audience.”
About his working experience with producer BVSN Prasad, comedy king Rajendra Prasad explained, “Producer BVSN Prasad garu has worked with me for few films. After long time, I once again got the opportunity to work with his for the film ‘Nannaku Prematho’. The film which was released for 2016 Sankranti, was a blockbuster hit. The year 2016 was tarted with ‘Nannaku Prematho’ and now the year is ending with our ‘Intlo Deyyam Nakem Bhayam’. I didn’t find any change in Prasad garu in these many years. He loves films. He made the film without compromising in any aspect. The producer has good taste. There is a scene in the film in which I have to jump from 400 feet height. I jumped from 30 feet height without the help of rope. Everyone shouted on me on attempting such a risky work in this age. I believe that we must do our bit for the good outcome of the film. Each and every artists and technician have kept their heart and soul for the good outcome of the film. ‘Intlo Deyyam Nakem Bhayam’ is a full length entertainer. Horror genres are trending off late. I am confident that the film will thrill audience.”
Thanking the writers and directors, the actor said, “My writers and director are the main reasons for my 40 yearlong successful and active career. I am thankful to the writers and directors for designing many unforgettable characters to me. I will be indebted to producers and co-artists forever for encouraging me. I consider myself lucky that I got the chance to work with all top directors in the present film industry. Director Jaya has given me the break in my second innings through the film ‘Lovely’. From then on, Trivikram, Sukumar, Anil Ravipudi, Krishna Vamsi and Srinu Vaitla and all other are creating new characters for me. It’s my privilege.”
Saying that he didn’t plan for anything, the actor said, “I didn’t lose any of my opportunities. I didn’t plan for anything in my life. I perfectly utilised the opportunities which I was offered and following the same till now. I became successful as an actor. I tasted flop as a producer with the films like ‘Rambantu’ and ‘Madam’. Direction is the highly responsible post. If I feel that I have all required qualities for the special post, then I will start direction. I love cinema and that’s why I don’t bother about remuneration. My remuneration doesn’t depends on success or failure in my career. I always maintain the same."
The actor opined that our film industry needs new artists. He added, “So many new artists are being introduced to the film industry. Every artist should create his own brand. Life should not stop for any one. I am going to do many number of films in 2017. Hollywood film ‘Quick Gun Murugun’ will go on floors soon. Bound script was ready. Anand Surapur is producing the film with Shashank Gosh as director."
