MAA (Movie Artists Association) is taking up welfare programs for poor and needy artists in the Telugu film industry. The newly elected MAA president and other executive body members have taken pledge to work together in helping the poor and needy artists of film industry.
“I have strong connection with MAA since 20 years. I have learned a lot in my 20-year-long experience in MAA. As per the insurance scheme, every artist in case of death Rs. 2 lakhs will be given to his family or guardians. Until now, when the poor artists were dead, MAA is providing ?5000 to ?10,000 as immediate help and therefore the poor artists’ families are unable to perform the last rituals. Now, putting an end to the old process, MAA has took up the latest insurance scheme which will now cover Rs 2 Lakhs immediately as death insurance claim on the name of the artist i.e. on the same day of the death of the poor artist. Later the insurance claim on the name of artist will be deposited in MAA,” informed MAA President Shivaji Raja.
MAA former president Murali Mohan expressed his happiness on the new schemes which are being implemented by the newly formed MAA team.
