The Kerala high court has ordered actress Amala Paul to appear before the crime branch on January 15 in connection with the road tax evasion by registering her luxury vehicle in Pondicherry with a false address even though her residence is in Kerala to evade 20 per cent tax in Kerala on luxury cars costing 20 lakh and above.
An FIR was lodged against the actress in November last year. On December 19, the crime branch has summoned Amala for interrogation, but she failed to turn up citing a busy shooting schedule. Justice Raja Vijayaraghavan passed the order after hearing an anticipatory bail plea filed by the actress.
