Prominent actress Jyothika and GV Prakash starrer Tamil film ‘Naachiyaar’, directed by Bala, did exceptionally well. Jyothika played the role of ruthless cop in the film. Recently, renowned producer Kalpana Koneru has bought the Telugu dubbing rights. Reports are doing rounds that ‘Naachiyaar’ could be remade in Telugu and Anushka Shetty may reprise the role of Jyothika in the remake.
Even though the producers wanted to release the dubbed version, director of the original, Bala, suggested a remake. The director also suggested Anushka’s name for the remake. A source from the film unit says, “As Anushka is one of the top actresses in Tollywood, the producer wants to approach Anushka to play the lead role.” Let’s not raise our hopes just. There is no official confirmation yet from the makers. Anushka Shetty was last seen in ‘Bhaagamathie’ which went on to become super hit.
