There have been rumours that the release of Rajinikanth starrer 'Kaala' has been postponed. Reason cited for this is the ongoing strike in Kollywood. The film was scheduled for release on 27th April. It was also said that Sai Pallavi's 'Kanam' will be released on this date.
Lyca Productions has tweeted that there is no postponement in the release of 'Kaala'. It will release as announced. They tweeted, "@LycaProductions has not conveyed anything to anyone regarding #Kaala release date. We are not responsible for any statements arising on release date speculations." Pa Ranjith has directed this film, which is said to be a sequel to Kaabali.
