Actor-politician Nandamuri Balakrishna has announced a donation of Rs 55 lakh towards corona care in Hindupur, which he represents as the MLA. The 'Legend' and 'Simha actor will be visiting his constituency later this month (on August 29 and 30).
"During his visit, Balayya will be contributing to equipment, medicines, PPE kits, and masks worth Rs 55 lakh to patients suffering from the virus. Part of the donations will also go to frontline warriors," a source from the TDP leader's camp said.
Previously, Balayya had donated two ventilators, 100 PPE units and masks worth Rs 25 lakh on behalf of Basavatarakam Trust. He also contributed Rs 50 lakh each to Andhra Pradesh CM relief fund and Telangana CM relief fund in April.
This is apart from his donation of Rs 25 lakh to the Telugu film industry's Corona Crisis Charity.
Balayya will be doing a film with Boyapati Srinu and it will arrive at the cinemas next year.
