'Guvva Gorinka', starring Satyadev Kancharana, Priya Lal, Priyadarshi and others, will stream on Amazon Prime Video from December 17. Mohan Bammidi, who has worked under Ram Gopal Varma on films like 'Sarkar' and 'Raktha Charitra', is its helmer.
Speaking about the movie, the director said that the film is rich in human relations and emotions. 'Guvva Gorinka' has been made on a small budget. There are two pairs in the movie. "If the first couple is interested in pure love that has nothing to do with physical intimacy, the second couple has got no emotional bonding despite being physically close to each other. There is another male character in the movie who believes that all relationships are an excuse for sex," the director says.
The director has always been influenced by his brother Bammidi Jagadeeshwara Rao's stories, the works of Ravi Shastri, Patanjali, Bucchi Babu, Gopichand, Mahaswetha Devi and Sarath Chandra. He also loves Iranian movies. Mohan has also learned a great deal about execution from his guru, Ram Gopal Varma.
Talking about the film's cast, he says, "Satyadev is a very good actor. He is quite spontaneous. I have seen the likes of Amitabh Bachchan, Ajay Devgn, Surya and Vivek Oberoi on sets. These actors, too, are quite spontaneous." As for the heroine, Priya Lal, she is very hardworking. "Priyadarshi is one of the best actors. He is both spontaneous and amusing," he adds.
The film has cinematography by Miles Rangaswamy and music by Suresh Bobbili.
