'Annapurnamma Gaari Manavadu' is a family entertainer starring, among others, the famous yesteryear actress 'Mahanati' Jamuna. Starring Annapurnamma as a grandmother and Master Ravi Teja as her grandson, the film has been produced by Manneti Nageswara Rao. Directed by Narra Sivasnageswararao, it features Baladitya and Archana as the lead pair.
Due to the pandemic, its theatrical release has been put off. But the film has premiered on Amazon Prime.
Speaking at an event held in Hyderabad on Sunday, Annapurnamma said that the film will stand out as a milestone in her career spanning 45 years. "This is the first film in which I played the titular role. The title itself is named after me. The director has designed each character remarkably," she added.
Archana thanked the director for the opportunity. "This is a movie with heavy scenes," she added.
The film was released on OTT in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam. The realistic film has Jamuna as Akkineni Anasuyamma.
Producer MNR Chowdhary thanked the audience for lapping it up across languages. The film also stars Sri Harsha, Sri Lakshmi, Prabha, Jayanti, Sudha, Sangeetha, Jayavani, Banerjee, Raghu Babu, Adhurs Raghu, Tagubothu Ramesh, Suman Shetty, Jeeva and others.
