The Hindi-language classic 'Mera Naam Joker' is quite popular. A Telugu film directed by Surya Gopal borrows its title from the iconic movie. Produced by 4am Movie Makers, the film was launched on Sunday in the presence of director Maruthi. To be shot from November, it will release in 2021.
Speaking on the occasion, Maruthi said that the film's director is his friend. "I am happy about the title. I hope my friend will score a hit with the movie." Director Surya Gopal thanked Maruthi for gracing the launch occasion. "Artists from various languages will be seen in our movie," he revealed.
Writer Raju Bonala said that the subject of the movie is quite novel. "We have written it for three years," he added.
