Ram Gopal Varma's 'Disha Encounter' has got both its first look and release date. Revolving around the rape of Disha, the Hyderabadi woman who was sexually assaulted and burnt down by her predators in November 2019, the film will release on November 26.
"The gang rape incident aroused such anger throughout India that the government not only changed rape laws but also for the first time in the world created DISHA police stations named after a victim. My film telling the story will release on the first anniversary of the ghastly incident," Varma said.
He shared stills from the movie and they suggest that Varma has made it as a realistic film.
Before launching it, RGV spoke with the Hyderabad police regarding their investigation. The culprits were caught in days and were executed even faster.
