The pre-release event of 'Vakeel Saab' on Sunday evening saw Pawan Kalyan speaking for more than 30 minutes. Since it was his first film event in three years, Power Star spoke at length.
During his speech, the actor-politician dedicated his upcoming movie, which will release on April 9, to women. Since he is a lawyer in the movie, Pawan made it a point to refer to a few lawyers whom he respects a lot. Among them, he referred to Nani Palkhiwala's fight for justice during the Emergency era.
Pawan praised Venu Sriram and said that he doesn't deserve any credit for choosing him. "Venu Sriram garu comes from a humble background. If he has reached this position today, it's only because of his talent and hard work," Power Star said.
He made a special mention of Prakash Raj, saying that the latter is a great performer whom he respects a lot. "We both have political differences. But I respect him for the actor he is," Pawan said.
Earlier in the event, Bandla Ganesh made an intense speech, declaring that he is a devotee of Pawan. He went to the extent of comparing the 'Agnyaathavaasi' actor to God.
The event also saw Dil Raju, the producer of the movie, get somewhat intense while delivering the speech. Nivetha Thomas couldn't make it to the event because of her coronavirus status. Anjali and Ananya Nagalla were in attendance, while Shruti Haasan skipped.
