'Cinema Bandi', whose trailer was released recently, is produced by Raj and DK. The news is that the trailer, streaming on Netflix and YouTube, is a big hit already.
"We are happy that our trailer has clocked 1 million plus views in just two days. 'Cinema Bandi', the new-age film, is a talk of the town in both Telugu and Hindi film industries," the makers said.
Directed by debutant Praveen Kandregula, the comedy is set in a village on the border of Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka. An auto driver, a grandfather, a barber, a photographer, a vegetable seller, and a camera owner are its key characters. All the artists are unfamiliar or non-actors.
Samantha Akkineni, Naveen Polishetty, Shahid Kapoor, Manoj Bajpayee, Rajkumar Rao, Rashi Khanna, Saiymi Kher, Sundeep Kishan, Adivi Sesh, Nag Ashwin, Tharun Bhascker, among others, have shared the trailer in a big way.
Samantha said that the film looks honest, while Raashi Khanna called it endearing and innocent.
The indie film will stream on Netflix from May 14.
