Renowned lyricist and respected poet Sirivennela Seetharama Sastry, whose songs have got legions of fans, is no more. He breathed his last on Tuesday evening while undergoing treatment for Pneumonia at KIMS Hospital in Hyderabad. The doctors said that his lung cancer resulted in several complications and he couldn't be saved.
The patient was put on ECMO to support his lungs. A health bulletin issued just hours before his death didn't say that Sastry was in a critical condition.
