Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar's mother Aruna Bhatia died earlier today. Media reports said that she breathed her last due to age-related issues.
In the afternoon, the departed soul was laid to rest at the Pawan Hans crematorium in the city. The likes of Riteish Deshmukh, director Rohit Shetty, and producer Sajid Khan were present at the cremation.
Earlier today, taking to Twitter, the 'Sooryavanshi' and 'Bell Bottom' actor broke the news of his mother's passing away. "She was my core. And today I feel an unbearable pain at the very core of my existence. My maa Smt Aruna Bhatia peacefully left this world today morning and got reunited with my dad in the other world. I respect your prayers as I and my family go through this period. Om Shanti," he wrote.
Salman Khan and several other colleagues expressed their condolences via social media.
