BJP is indirectly funding Prabhas' 'Adipurush'. This is a claim made by TRS leader and Minister KT Rama Rao. "They don't fund (films like 'The Kashmir Files' and 'Adipurush') directly. Those who have to do it will do," KTR said in an interview with TV5.
He also suggested that 'Adipurush' and other alleged pro-BJP films are being made to brainwash youngsters. "The BJP has been following a multi-pronged strategy in wedding communalism with Nationalism," KTR opined.
Had KTR stopped at making an ideological critique, it wouldn't have been so shocking. He made a specific mention of three titles: 'Adipurush', 'TKF' and 'URI', all of which are Bollywood projects. He also touched upon so-called 'indirect funding', which muddies the whole debate. 'Adipurush' and Prabhas are getting free nation-wide publicity!
