'Pokiri' is back in vogue. Those of you who missed the joy of watching the classic in a theatre when it was released in 2006 now have a chance to do so. On August 9, the Mahesh Babu-starrer will be screened worldwide. More than 200 shows have been finalized.
"Thanks to the meticulous planning put in by fans, a record number of special shows on the Superstar's birthday have been confirmed," a source says.
The shows will be majorly held in the Telugu States, and also in other territories, especially in the US. The fans want the shows to remain a benchmark for years to come. This is the most that an Indian film has been able to pull off more than 15 years after its release in theatres.
Directed by Puri Jagannadh, 'Pokiri' starred Prakash Raj as the main villain. Ileana was its heroine. Mani Sharma's music for the movie was out of the world.
