The latest edition of the South Indian International Movie Awards (SIIMA) ceremony is going to be held in Bengaluru on Sept 10 and 11. In this regard, nominations have been announced by the SIIMA team.
'Jathi Ratnalu', which grossed Rs 70 Cr at the box office when it was released in March 2021, has received 8 nominations. Naveen Polishetty has been nominated in the Best Actor category. This is the most glamorous category and millions of movie buffs wait to see if their favourite actors have a chance. Naveen has received this SIMA nomination for the second time. He was also nominated for his performance in 'Agent Sai Srinivas Athreya'.
Reacting to the news, the actor wrote, "Power of the audience. For a film where our entire team are outsiders from average middle class families, to become a massive blockbuster and get 8 nominations! The real award is always the love you showed us but this also brings hope to middle class dreams."
Naveen is currently doing a UV Creations production starring Anushka Shetty in the central role.
