'Cobra' is heading to theatres on Aug 31 in Telugu and Tamil. The action thriller, directed by R Ajay Gnanamuthu, had its pre-release event in Hyderabad on Sunday.
Speaking on the occasion, Vikram said that he was pleased to see the crowds at the AMB Mall. "I thank NVR Prasad for releasing my movie in Telugu. I myself am surprised that I have done many roles over many years in my career. I am crazy about acting. It has been three years since a movie of mine has been released in theatres. I am happy about 'Cobra'. I call it a visual treat. It's a psychological thriller like 'Aparichitudu'. There is action, romance, family, love and emotions. The advance bookings for the movie are great. I urge the auidnece to watch the movie on the first day," Vikram added.
Producer NVR Prasad said, "Vikram is a sensational hero. He and the director have surely made a visual wonder. For example, it was shot in biting cold in Russia. There are several other surprising elements in store."
AR Rahman, who addressed the audience through a video byte, thanked the Telugu audience for their love.
The film has Srinidhi Shetty of 'KGF' fame as the main heroine. Miya George and Mrinalini Ravi have other roles, while KS Ravikumar, Irfan Pathan and others have different roles.
