'Cobra' hit the cinemas on Wednesday, marking Vinayaka Chavithi. The film, an action thriller, grossed more than Rs 15 Cr in Tamil and Telugu put together on the first day.
The film's original run time of 183 minutes hasn't been received well. The producers, a while ago, declared that a decision has been made to trim the overlong 'Cobra' by about 20 minutes.
"We have listened to the feedback given by fans, cine-goers, media friends, exhibitors and distributors. We hereby announce that 'Cobra' is going to be 20 minutes shorter in all versions from Thursday evening," the makers today said.
The decision has been welcomed by fans. 'Cobra', directed by Ajay Gnanamuthu, stars Srinidhi Shetty of 'KGF' fame as the heroine. Mrinalini Ravi and Miya George have other roles. Roshan Mathew, KS Ravikumar and others have important parts as well.
