Harish Shankar has been in for incessant trolling for allegedly remaking 'Theri' with Pawan Kalyan. For those who are not aware, 'Ustaad Bhagat Singh' is believed to be a remake of the Tamil movie.
While the 'Gabbar Singh' director has been the butt of ridicule, he might be innocent. Come to think of it: Would he have wanted to do a remake of a dull and average movie like 'Theri', that too in the era of pan-India movies, without Power Star himself pushing for it?
Pawan's choices have been bizarre one too many times. Nobody understands how come he did duds like 'Bangaram'. 'Annavaram' was a nonsensical remake. The post-'Kushi' and pre-'Gabbar Singh' Pawan was on the wrong path just too often.
After a brief lull of decent choices like 'Attarintiki Daredi' and even 'Panjaa', Pawan was back to making a couple of strange choices. 'Katamarayudu' was a silly remake. 'Sardar Gabbar Singh' and 'Agnyathavaasi' were dismal.
Maybe, Pawan liked some aspects of 'Theri' and stubbornly stuck to it. It goes with some of his bizarre choices. 'Ustaad Bhagat Singh' might become a hit if its budget is planned well, but it will never make the fans go wild with excitement.
