Veteran artist Kaikala Satyanarayana passed away earlier today owing to some chronic health issues. The Telugu film industry is mourning his unfortunate demise.
In his condolence message, Megastar Chiranjeevi described him as 'Navarasa Natana Sarvabhouma'. Chiru further said that he is fortunate to have got to act with Kaikala on several films. "While working with him, I got to experience his immense talent and kind personality first-hand. He would always address me as 'Tammudu'," the 'Waltair Veerayya' star wrote.
Nandamuri Balakrishna said that Kaikala acted in a number of films with his father, NT Rama Rao, and him as well. "He also left an indelible mark as a parliamentarian. It's unfortunate that he is not amidst us today," the 'Veera Simha Reddy' actor said.
Ram Charan tweeted, "His contribution to our film industry will be remembered forever!! May his soul rest in peace."
Natural Star Nani tweeted saying that Kaikala is one of his favourite actors from the golden era of Telugu cinema. "Mana intlo Manishi la anipistharu. Legendary body of work. Condolences to family (sic)," the 'Dasara' actor wrote.
Ravi Teja, whose 'Dhamaka' hit the cinemas today, tweeted, "Grief-stricken by the demise of the legendary actor Kaikala Satyanarayana garu. He is One of the finest actors Indian cinema has ever seen. My sincere condolences to his family & dear ones. Om Shanti (sic)."
