'Degala Babji' stars Bandla Ganesh as the protagonist. It's Telugu cinema's first single-actor movie where you will see only one character at one place on a single location throughout. A remake of the Tamil movie 'Oththa Seruppu Size 7', the film has completed its post-production works. Recently, its trailer was released and on Thursday, its first song, titled, 'Kalale Kannane' was unveiled.
The intense song has been rendered by Abhay Jodhpurkar.
Meanwhile, producer-artist Bandla Ganesh has said that director Venkat Chandra has done a fabulous job with the remake. Ganesh and the filmmaker have been friends for 20 years.
When the offer came his way, Ganesh didn't want to don the greasepaint, now that he has lost touch with acting. But the director's convincing did magic. "The subject is experimental and risky in nature. It was not an easy decision to shoulder the burden and I was nervous while doing the film. But I am surprised to see my own performance. I am stunned myself. As an actor, this is a lifetime project for me. I will always be proud of producing 'Gabbar Singh' with Pawan Kalyan garu. I will be proud of it even after my death. 'Degala Babji' is the only other project of which I am equally proud," Ganesh said.
Director Venkat Chandra said that he chose Ganesh for the intense role because he knows personally how emotional he is as a person."
Music director Lynus Madiri thanked the makers for the opportunity.
